Shoda League - Challenger Rules
Challengers may set up a team of up to six (6) Pokémon.
The Challenger’s Pokémon team must be registered on the Shoda League Challenger Registration topic.
(Click here to go to the Challenger Registration).
Challengers may face any of the 17 Official League Gyms in any order. (Click here to see the current list.)
IMPORTANT! Challengers MUST be in the "Shoda League" Tier to offer any challenge that will count towards their progress! NO EXCEPTIONS!
It is highly suggested that you send a private message to the Gym Leader before requesting a challenge so that both of you may be ready for a great fight!
After collecting 10 badges, you may face the Shoda League Champion.
Standard Battle Conditions
All battles must follow these conditions unless certain conditions are agreed to by the Challenger and the Gym Leader or Champion. If the Gym Leader accepts a Shoda League challenge without checking the selected conditions, it will still count as having accepted those battle conditions.
If no agreements are made before the battle, these conditions must be followed without argument.
Only one (1) win is necessary to defeat any Gym Leader and obtain the Gym Badge.

- -Some gyms may have up to three (3) Gym Trainers online.
If there are any of the Gym’s Trainers present at the time that you challenge the gym, you must defeat them before challenging the Gym Leader.
- -It is the Leader's responsibility to ask a challenger if they have defeated their Gym Trainers BEFORE accepting a League Battle. If the challenger hasn't, and the Leader accepts the battle, then the battle will count for the badge regardless.
-Some gyms may have co-leaders. If so, you may defeat any of the gym’s co-leaders for the gym badge. If only one of the co-leaders is present, you will face him / her. If both or all of the co-leaders are present, they will choose which co-leader you will fight for the badge.
-If you defeat a Gym Leader, collect the Gym Badge as proof of your victory.
-After every four (4) badges you collect, you may add an additional Pokémon to your registered party (up to a maximum total of three (3) additional Pokémon). Before every match, you may choose to use up to six (6) of any of your registered Pokémon for that battle.
After collecting 10 badges, you may face the Shoda League Champion.
- -Upon defeating the current Champion in five out of seven (5 out of 7) consecutive battles, you may take his or her spot as the new Champion.
-In order to remain as Champion, you must be active in the server and maintain mature behavior. Otherwise, the previous Champion will be re-instated.

- -Challengers must go to the Gym Leader’s town/city to challenge the gym.
-Challenger and Leader must be in the “Shoda League” tier
-Battles are “Single Battle” with teams of six (6) Pokémon.
-Active Regulations: Species Clause, Wifi Clause, Self-KO Clause
-Inactive Regulations: Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, Disallow Spects, Challenge Cup, No Timeout
-A forfeit, timeout, disconnection, closure of window, “accident” will all count as a loss for the one who committed the action.
Only one (1) win is necessary to defeat any Gym Leader and obtain the Gym Badge.
- -A challenger may only challenge each gym personnel twice a day. Gym leaders are required to accept those two challenges if they are online and active.
